Nature Persists

I assembled this found-object sculpture with clay detailing. The sculpture represents the persistence of nature. Growth and decay are expressed with fungi and flowers. The flowers are poppies, a symbol of resilience. The butterfly is also a symbol of rebirth and resilience. All of the metal represents humankind’s impact on the world, as it weighs down the sculpture.
